Granola (Jana Fuller)


6 cups oats
½-1 cup wheat germ
1 cup coconut
1 cup ribbon coconut
¼ cup seasame seeds
1 t almond extract- optional
2 T vanilla
1 cup nuts (walnuts, cashews, almonds or pecans)
½ cup sunflower seeds
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup honey
1 cup raisins

Mix all grains.  Pour oil and honey over mixture and stir.  Spread on lightly oiled cookie sheet.  Bake @ 300 degrees for 30 minutes.  Stir every 10 minutes.  Add vanilla.  Bake 5-10 minutes.  Add ½ cup additional honey.  Cool.  Store in tightly sealed container.  Refrigerate if kept long.
