Black Bean Burgers (Tami’s recipe)

4 cups cooked black beans (1/2 package dried)
¼ cup cornmeal
¼ cup flour
1 tsp. wheat bran
¼ cup oats
½ cup chunky salsa
2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. garlic salt

Process beans in food processor until fairly smooth.  Add the rest and process until well combined.

Refrigerate 1-4 hours.

Pat both sides of patties with a little cornmeal, if desired.  Brown on sprayed grill pan, or oiled skillet (crispy) 5 minutes per side over medium heat.  Serve on whole wheat buns with favorite burger toppings.
