Boiled Raisin Cookies (Jana Fuller's Recipe)

Boil:    2 cups raisins
                2 cups water
Simmer for 20 minutes.  Cool.

Blend:  2 cups sugar
                1 ½ cups shortening
                3 eggs
Add and fold:  cooled raisin mixture (water included)
Add and Mix Thoroughly:   
4 cups flour
                2 t soda
                1 t salt
                2 t cinnamon
                1 t cloves
                1 t nutmeg
Add:    4 cups quick oats

Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet.   Bake at 350 for 13 to 14 minutes.  Do not over bake.
