Shauna’s Crazy Crust Pizza (Shauna’s recipe)

1 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk
1 lb. sausage
¼ c. chopped onion
1 c. tomato sauce
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1  4 oz. can mushrooms (optional)

In a medium skillet brown sausage.  Drain well and set aside.  Lightly grease and dust a 9 x 13 inch pan with flour.  Prepare batter by mixing flour, salt, pepper, eggs, and milk in a small mixing bowl.  Pour batter into pan, tilting pan so batter covers bottom.  Arrange toppings of meat and onions over batter.  Bake on bottom over rack at 400 for 20 minutes or until pizza is deep golden brown.  Remove from oven and drizzle with tomato sauce.  Sprinkle with cheese, mushrooms and any other desired toppings.  Return to oven for 7-10 minutes until cheese is melted and sauce bubbly.
